He’s a guitar icon of a generation, who even your grandma may recognize.  A complete phenomenon:  Someone clearly placed on the planet to play guitar and to blow audiences away.  He’s both a great musician and a great rock star,  managing to achieve legendary status prior to turning 30.  Far more impressive, he’s managed to maintain this status, always ahead of the curve, always right on the groove, while remaining true to tradition.  With his trademark Les Paul, top hat and omnipresent cigarette, the guitarist born Saul Hudson challenged and destroyed the stagnant musical scene of the late 80’s with his former band Guns `N Roses, to become the biggest, baddest rock `n roll band known.  Long before G `N’ R officially bottomed out, he moved onto his next project, Slash’s Snakepit, never missing a beat.  Ever the maverick, he refused to remain in the “new” version of G `N R, sans original members and with a different musical direction, walking away from one of the biggest, most successful bands in the history of rock.  Slash, however, still remains one of the premier hard rock guitarists of all time.  Though his talent and influence is not limited by musical genre.  And the world has yet to see the true extent of his vision.

Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum, Dave Kushner and Scott Weiland,  AKA Velvet Revolver, signed a long term record deal with RCA Records on Aug. 22, 2003.  

Velvet Revolver's first CD, Contraband, wasreleased on June 8, 2004.  Included is the Bob eZrin produced track, SLITHER, which was recorded in Los Angeles on July 28, 2003.

Syndrome Foundation.

     Sarah Canout, Slash & Perla’s little friend who suffers from the life treatening blood disorder, captured the hearts of Slash and Perla.
     Blackfan Diamond Syndrome sufferers can’t make red blood cells and
its victims can only survive by having monthly blood transfusions.  
     In turn blood transfusions can cause excess iron build up in the body, and there is no remedy to correct the problem, that causes death in many
young children.
     The eighteenth Jonathan Jacques Children’s Cancer Center “CHAMPIONS RUN FOR LIFE” will be held in June in Long Beach.
     Over 200 courageous children who either have cancer, a serious blood disease or are presently in remission will carry an Olympic style torch 1/8 of a mile running, walking or wheeling alongside their sponsor and
celebrities.
     Donations are much needed to help find a cure.
